Out of the limelight since The Police reunion tour, Sting surfaced briefly to play a charity event prior to announcing his Back to Bass tour. Maybe he got the bug again but now he's popping up everywhere! Sting recently announced that he's working on a musical called The Last Ship which is being directed by Tony Award-winning writer Brian Yorkey. With Sting's obvious talents and Yorkey's experience in theater, hopefully they'll fare better than Bono and the Edge did with Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark.

According to Sting's website, "As the 30th anniversary of the first Police single approaches, discussions have been underway as to how this will be commemorated. While we can confirm that there will indeed be something special done to mark the occasion, the depth of the band's involvement still remains undetermined."
